At the moment everything in my life is up in the air and I mean that literally. Unforeseen circumstances have changed the path I was heading down quite dramatically and to be honest I’m not sure what is what anymore. But one thing I can be certain of is that my hair-care won’t change (unless I decide to change it) but at least that’s a decision I’m in control of…
The products I’ve been using…
I’ve been using Hempz Healthy Hair fortifying Shampoo and Conditioner for quite some time now. So long in fact that I’ve finished the bottles and I’m on to my second round. Initially I was skeptical about trying something new because let’s face it we are creatures of habit and tend to stick to what we know. Hair-care is no exception for me.

Can drugstore products compare to salon products?
Having trained as a hairdresser a few years ago my thoughts and opinions on drugstore products was and can still be very narrow-minded. I didn’t like using them and didn’t think that a drugstore product could compare in any way shape or form to a salon version. But wow I was wrong, from the first lather I knew that I was going to really get on with the Hempz hair-care range.
Some useful things to note about Hempz
The Hempz Shampoo and Conditioner in this range are not only free from harsh chemicals, parabens and THC but they are also Vegan too. So fortunately no furry friends (or others) were hurt in the making of these products and I think this is pretty great!

A review (well my take on one)
The Shampoo itself lathers up beaaaautifully and smells pretty incredible too. It’s one of those products that you can use and still smell on your hair after day one. If you love a fruity citrus smell then this is the Shampoo for you. You are also left with an ultra clean feeling (one that you’d hope for with a shampoo ideally)… A little bit of this Shampoo goes a long way, so if used sparingly it should last you a long time.
Finding the right conditioner can often be rather difficult, especially for someone with curly hair that tends to be a little on the dry side. I was unsure at first whether Hempz would be a match for my often dry and frizz prone hair, especially as many conditioners have failed to hydrate my hair in the past. I can honestly say that I can’t remember the last time I needed to use a hair mask. My hair is shinier than it’s ever been and my curls are far less prone to frizz than when using other products.

I feel as though I do have to mention that I regularly get my hair trimmed, use heat protection and care for my hair as much as possible. Unfortunately Shampoo’s and Conditioner’s are not miracle products so nothing will cure damaged ends apart from a good old fashioned trim at the hairdressers (sorry to state the obvious). That aside I love these products and would recommend them to anyone, as they are light whilst being hydrating and don’t weigh the hair down.
So if you’re looking to try something new to take your hair-care to the next level, then why not try Hempz Healthy Hair Fortifying Shampoo and Conditioner? You can shop these here (Shampoo) and here (Conditioner).
