When it comes to items of clothing I try to find as many ways as possible to wear an item, whether it’s creating multiple daytime or evening looks as I can or taking a look from day to night (which I’m going to talk about today specifically focusing on playsuits). Creating new looks is one of my favourite things to do especially as it helps me save extra pennies too!
As it’s technically Summer now (well it’s meant to be in England). I thought I’d share with you how I’ve created both day and night looks with my go-to playsuit, I’ve done this by changing up my accessories and footwear to suit the location and occasion. There are several playsuits from Warehouse that I’ve got my eye on too here you can shop Warehouse’s playsuit and jumpsuit collection… (what was that about saving pennies?).
Creating a daytime look based on a playsuit
During the day I try to keep my outfits as simple as possible for several reasons;
A) I’m rubbish at choosing matching items
B) Comfort (in my opinion) is key ALWAYS
That’s why in this outfit I decided to pair it with plain comfortable trainers, a cross-body shoulder bag (for the essentials) and I left my hair and make up as natural as possible for a more casual feel. An alternative to trainers (if you’re not a trainer gal like me) could be plain sandals or ballet style pumps for a more ‘girly‘ look.
Simple switches to create an effortless evening look
Dressing up always has been and presumably always will be one of my favourite things to do. That’s why I usually do these five things when turning any day-time outfit to a night one these include;
A) Changing my hairstyle – On this occasion I braided my hair for a fuss free style that I knew would stay in place all evening and which would give me waves for the next day. If you don’t like braids you could always opt for curling your hair if you wear it straight (or vice versa), having your hair down if it was up during the day and much more…
B) Add a bold lip for a pop of colour – Red or Brown are my first choices (make sure to choose what suits you best).
C) Opt for a small bag – Small bags are great on a night out as they are just the right size for storing those must-have items. The straw bag pictured is like a tardis and is lightweight too!
D) Enhance your look with some jewellery – Bold earrings are easy to add to any look especially if you wear your hair up and a simple necklace can work really well to give any look a little more dimension.
E) Clever footwear – By now we should all know that footwear is a must and that the right shoe can make all the difference. On this occasion I went for a sparkly flat sandal as we were on holiday and there was a chance that we would be going for a walk (blisters are not friends) so heels were out of the question. However if there wasn’t a possibility of walking I would have opted for my plain black strappy heels which are rather comfy and give me a little more height!
Below you will find the playsuits and jumpsuits that I have my eye on from Warehouse.

Of course you don’t have to follow all of my tips to create a day-time or evening look, even just choosing one or two tips can help you create something new (that being said you don’t have to follow any of my tips) but I’ll leave it up to you…
