How to style a lace bodysuit three ways ft. ASOS

So I admit it I have a bit of a clothes problem and I loveeeeee anything lace and bodysuits too. What could possibly be better than both combined? A lace bodysuit that’s my answer. I have a fair few in my collection that aren’t all Black for a change, but the one I’m going to style today is actually Blue (which is a big thing for me).

Bodysuits are SO versatile and can be worn for almost any occasion if styled correctly. I’ve put together my three favourite outfits using my Blue lace bodysuit from ASOS. I got mine in a size small but in Tall because although I’m only 5ft 6in (not particularly tall) I have a long body and not very long legs!

This outfit is my take on ‘jeans and a nice top’ because everyone needs one of those outfits… Whenever I’m planning outfits for a night out my backup is ‘I could always wear jeans and a nice top right?!’ I decided to steer away from my typical high-waisted skinny Black jeans and opt for light Blue denim Mom Jeans with a Black belt, the Blue bodysuit, multi-layered necklace and an Ox Red bag with Gold detailing (my new fav going out bag).

I went through a stage of buying everything in Blush Pink, as in I had an obsession… Everything from Bras to Trousers, T-shirts and more! I picked up a pair of tie waist culottes from Zara because they were Pink but really struggled finding something to pair with them that didn’t make me look completely shapeless. I’m not a fan of oversized clothing on my body so wearing baggy-ish trousers and tops just doesn’t work for me. I then remembered that I had my favourite Lace Blue bodysuit (yay). One bonus of not really having any boobs is that I can wear this bodysuit pretty much wherever whenever without having to worry about any awkward slips… Hooray for the small boob club.

I’m not usually a skirt or dress kinda girl however I thought I’d include this outfit for those of you who are and to challenge myself to wear new things and explore new styles. I styled my go-to Topshop denim skirt with the Blue Lace bodysuit, my multi-layered necklace and my Ox Red bag. This outfit has so many other variations too which I think could make it suitable for all occasions, for example:

  • Wearing tights rather than bare legs
  • Trainers rather than heels
  • An oversized jumper or mesh t-shirt

These are just a couple of ways that I think would look nice with this style outfit.

If you haven’t already guessed I really love this bodysuit as there are endless styling possibilities. I’ve shown you just a few of my favourites but I plan to share more as time goes on, these will be shared on my Instagram (make sure you are following me) and Blog (where you are now). The bodysuit shown in the photos isn’t on the site anymore however they are stocking very similar ones to mine. These would create a very similar look if styled as suggested at around £20 each, similar to how much I paid.

How is, uh, the “boob coverage” on these type of bodysuits? I’ve been tempted in the past but the idea that someone can see right though one on its own puts me off somewhat…

Hey! It’s pretty good actually and I’m exactly the same so I bought some of those silicone nipple covers for about £1 off eBay and then I know there will be no silps aha! Hope this helps 🙂 x
