I said I wouldn’t write one of these posts because ‘no-one ever sticks to their new years goals’ because they are usually wayyy too unrealistic and a couple of days into the new year you’ve already eaten all the chocolate or skipped the gym because you’re too busy… but then I thought what better way to record my goals than to write them down share them? That way I can look back and see how I’m getting on.
If I’m being honest I never set out to to be a claims handler, dealing with people’s car accidents. Who finishes school, a-levels and hairdressing to go down that route? Not me, through writing my blog, taking photos and connecting with others I’ve decided that I would love to take the Digital Marketing/ Social Media route as I really enjoy it and spend most of my time doing anyway. This year I’m going to finish that awesome CV that I started months ago and see what I can achieve!
It’s pretty incredible that my own tiny space on the web is being viewed by actual people, yep that’s right the fact that you are reading this right now makes me more happy than words can explain. Who would ever have thought that people would want to know what I have to say? As far as goals for my blog this year go I’m hoping to continue to post regularly, create new fun content, work with more brands and share more hair and fashion posts. I recently stepped outside with just me and my tripod and although I did get some very odd looks I was so proud because I had the confidence to get out there and do it, maybe I will even make it to the street this year…
Truth be told I’ve never been a confident person. I find social situations pretty difficult as often I don’t know what to say to people, I end up blurting out whatever comes into my head and asking people if ‘they are from around here’ which isn’t usually the way to join in a conversation but that’s just me. This year I have decided I need to let go of my worries because all they do is hold me back and just get involved, after all no-one else is stopping me from doing what I want!
Health & Fitness Goals
One of my goals that I set myself every year is to drink more water, a pretty generic goal however one that I often struggle with. I get so caught up doing things that I just forget to drink and end up dehydrated which doesn’t help anyyyything… you’ll be pleased to know that I have consumed nearly 3 litres of water today and spent most of the day needing the loo (seriously). Another goal I have set myself is to keep to my gluten-free diet and exercising regularly, I eat GF because of my IBS and also to maintain good overall health.
I’m currently saving so that me and my (not so lucky at times) boyfriend can one day buy our own home, I havent got much saved as of yet. You also have to enjoy life which I think is about balance!
So those are some of my goals for 2018 and I’m hoping to stick to them. What are your goals? Please comment them below as I would love to know.
Thanks for reading,
Love Saff x
