Under 5 minutes skincare perfecting evening routine

It’s taken me a little while now to perfect my Evening skincare routine, by a little while I mean until I turned 22 you’d have thought I’d have mastered it by now after washing my face every day for years, plus a lot of money time and breakouts too! I thought I’d put together a post outlining the products I use and steps I take to help my skin stay clear (most of the time) and super soft too. *Spoiler alert* a healthy diet and exercise are advised for best results.

Step one grab a cotton pad and use it to apply Clinique ‘take the day off’ for Lids, Lashes and Lips (all the L’s) and sweep this over these parts. Often these areas are the most difficult to fully remove makeup from, I don’t know about you but waking up looking like a Panda isn’t high on my to-do list. This product costs £13.60 for 125ml.

Step two apply a 5 pence piece amount of Elemis ‘Pro-Radiance Cream Cleanser’ and massage it into your skin (face). I use my Champney’s mini face brush to do this as it helps the cleanser to lather up, other brushes work or clean hands work too. You may find that you need to use a little water if yours isn’t lathering. This product costs £7.20 for 30ml (travel size) this is the size I have it in.

Step three rinse your face using clean, warm water until the lather is gone. Please don’t use hot water as burns are no fun!

Step four grab another cotton pad and apply Simple ‘Soothing Facial Toner’ all over your face and leave to soak in. This product costs around £2 for 200ml if bought from Tesco.

Finally for step five I use Lancome ‘Visionnaire Nuit’ Beauty Sleep Perfector to help hydrate my skin, I massage this in with my fingers all over my face. I really love this product as a little goes a long way, it is non-oily as it is a gel formula and it is really hydrating. The full size product of this costs over £60 however I have found that you can get 4 lots of 3ml sample sized products on eBay for £6.99. This is a much cheaper way to try the product than buying the full-sized one.

So there you have it, my under five minutes evening skincare routine. These are my favourite products to use and they really do help my skin keep clear apart from the odd breakout, which can’t be helped, now there really is no excuse not to take makeup off before bed… although I’m sure I can find one if I try hard enough.
