Recently I’ve really been getting into Fashion again, but due to moving out nearly a year ago and actually ‘adulting’ I’ve had really had to think about where I buy my clothes. Let’s face it a lot of the time shops sell almost identical items and we are just paying for the label.. sorry but it’s true. So I’ve put together a list of my 5 favourite must have items for Autumn which can go with almost any look!
The versatile coloured jumper
First up the Mustard jumper, I don’t know about you but until recently I wasn’t a fan of Mustard at all.. and then I tried on this jumper and was instantly in love. If it wasn’t for Andy I wouldn’t have even tried it on because I didn’t think it would suit me, but I love it! It’s super cosy, soft and not itchy like jumpers can be. The fit is just right too, I got it in a small and it wasn’t too tight on my arms for a change but I’d recommend trying before buying as H&M’s sizes are a bit unpredictable! This Jumper set me back around £8 so as far as jumpers go that’s pretty good going, why not style this kind of item with jeans for a casual look, trousers for work or a skirt to dress it up a little?
The comfortable Black boots you need
Next up Simmi Black Lycra sock boots I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I LOVE these boots I mean I seriously love them. I’ve wanted them for nearly a year now but convinced myself that I didn’t need them… Then I decided to buy them but they were out of stock in my size so I didn’t think it was meant to be, but having purchased them I’m so glad I did. I searched everywhere for a boot with a high enough heel but one not too high of you know what I mean? As I wanted to wear these boots wherever whenever, that’s also why I chose the chunky heel rather than the stiletto as I thought they were more fit for everyday wear. After wearing them for hours at a time and for quite a long walk I can happily say they are super comfy! They are also just the right fit for my ankles (which are quite small) which is what I usually struggle to find. These were just under £40 but they often have offers and discounts available.
The pleated skirt
This skirt is the skirt of dreams, no literally I’ve had a thing for pleated skirts for quite a while but not any that are above knee length because I’ve got weird knees. When I saw this skirt in my local Primark I was sooooo tempted to buy but told myself ‘Saff you don’t need anymore clothes’ I successfully left the shop empty handed *cries inside at small Primark victory* and then went on to think about when I could go back to the store to buy it. So when me and Andy went to Nottingham I tracked it down and bought it with no second thoughts or it would be too late. This skirt combines elegance with the pleats and current fashion with its leather look material, as well as being black and therefore the perfect colour to go with anything. I could easily wear this skirt out casually with a comfy tee or jumper or out out with a nice top or bralet! It was £13 but for the quality and fit I think it’s such a good item of clothing and so reasonable cost wise.
The v-neck jumper
Does anything Red count as an item? Okayyy well how about a super cosy bright Red jumper… perfect for Christmas, Autumn and Winter! I picked this one up not too long ago when visiting Lakeside Primark but have seen similar fluffy V-neck jumpers in there too. I think it’s a perfect item to have in your wardrobe because you can throw it on any time, it’s bright so adds a bit of colour to your wardrobe, it’s comfy and at £5-10 it’s a bargain really.
The all occasion bag
Aaaaaand finally the little brown bag, I’ve wanted one of these for ages and dragged poor Andy around SO many shops saying that the colour, handle, size, material wasn’t quite right. Then one day he sent me a link to this one from Debenhams, and I just knew it was the one for me. So along came my birthday and new bag day (yay)! It’s the perfect size for on the go and fits in SO many essentials, it’s also got adjustable straps and lots of pockets and zips inside too. I particularly like the suede fabric and the gold detailing on the bag as I think it really does go well together. I can’t remember the exact cost of the bag as I didn’t buy it and googling the price of your presents is rude, but from what I remember it was around £30 and Debenhams have had some lovely bags in the past! With it being such a neutral colour it’s perfect for Autumn as it goes with almost any colour and really compliments Mustard tones too.
