Anatomicals facemask review: farewell the scarlet pimplehead

I’m always on the lookout for new products to try and my collection is becoming a little crazy… not that I’m complaining! I’d tried a few Anatomicals products in the past but was really excited to try some of their face masks which I was really lucky to be gifted with. Today’s review is on Anatomicals farewell the scarlet pimplehead, deep cleansing mud mask.

This is the first Anatomicals mask that I have tried and I’m really impressed, I know the perception of ‘bloggers and influencers’ is that we rave about any product regardless of whether it’s good or not and I’d like to put it out there that I’m not one of those. If I genuinely like a product or don’t think it is up to the standard I’m expecting I’m happy to say so.

Anywayyyyy me and Andy had just got back from holiday and we really wanted to just relax and have a lazy day so thought what better way is there to do this than to put a facemask on? Out came the face mask brush (yes I have one of those it stops me from making a mess) and on it went. As I said I was really impressed because usually there is enough in a pack to get a maximum of two uses but after using it on the both of us there is definitely enough for another go!

The reason we chose to use this one is because it’s a deep cleansing mud mask and our skin needed a little tlc after all the sun cream and constant washing whilst we were on holiday, as it had gotten really oily and started to break out.

I know you’re probably thinking this is all well and good but I actually just want to know what you thought of the mask and i’m getting to that just one more thing first… in case you didn’t know Anatomicals don’t test on animals and all their products are paraben free!

Overall we really liked this mask as it was easy to apply with a non-sticky feel, you can get about 4 uses out of it, it washes off really easily and doesn’t leave residue (all you need is a bit of warm water and a face cloth if you have one), it’s affordable and our skin felt super soft and oil free after using which is exactly what we were aiming for. The texture of the mask is really smooth and doesn’t need to be applied really thickly in order to benefit your skin.

You can purchase Anatomical products on their website, Superdrug and ASOS
